Privacy
Seyla is an iPhone app for recording talking-head videos one short thought at a time. This policy describes what we collect and what we deliberately do not.
Video stays on your iPhone
Raw takes, thumbnails, and exported videos are stored locally on the device. We do not upload raw video to our servers. Signing out does not delete local media.
Account
You sign in with email. We use a passwordless one-time code. Your account identifier is used so membership, support, and analytics can refer to the same person — not so we can watch your recordings.
What we collect
- Email address for sign-in and account messages
- Membership status through Apple and RevenueCat (purchase tokens, not your card number)
- Product analytics after you sign in, through PostHog on EU infrastructure. Session replay in the app masks text fields and images.
- Optional marketing email, only if you opt in separately and confirm that opt-in. Creating an account is not marketing consent.
Processors
Depending on how you use the app: Supabase (authentication and account records), RevenueCat (membership), Apple (App Store billing), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics), and Crisp (in-app support chat).
