About Seyla

Seyla is an iPhone app for people who know what they want to say until the camera turns on. It helps you make a talking-head video one thought at a time, without reading a word-for-word script and without turning every missed line into another complete restart.

Why it exists

A script can keep a recording organized, but it can also replace the speaker's natural rhythm with the sound of someone reading. The usual alternative—memorizing everything—makes the camera feel like a test. Seyla was made for the space between those two choices. It keeps the next thought close while leaving the actual words, pauses, and delivery to you.

How it works

In Seyla, a beat is one short speaking cue. Record a few takes for that beat, keep the one that feels true, and move to the next thought. When the beats are ready, Seyla stitches the selected takes into one vertical video. Earlier takes remain available while you work, so retrying one thought does not erase the rest of the recording.

What it deliberately leaves out

Seyla does not generate scripts, rewrite speech, add captions, or act as a full editing suite. Raw takes and exports stay on the iPhone rather than being uploaded to Seyla's servers. The product is deliberately narrow: help you keep your place, keep your voice, and finish the video.
