# About Seyla

> Seyla is an iPhone app that helps people record talking-head videos without reading a script or restarting the whole take.

## Why it exists

Many people know what they mean until the camera turns on. A word-for-word script can keep a recording organized, but it often replaces the speaker's natural rhythm with the sound of someone reading. Missing one line can also turn a useful take into another complete restart. Seyla was made for that moment: it keeps the next thought close without putting someone else's voice in your mouth.

## The approach

In Seyla, a beat is one short speaking cue. You record a few takes for that beat, keep the one that feels true, and move to the next thought. When the beats are ready, Seyla stitches the selected takes into one vertical video. The workflow is deliberately smaller than a traditional editor and more human than a teleprompter.

## What Seyla is not

Seyla does not generate scripts, rewrite speech, add captions, or pretend every pause is a mistake. It is not a browser service or a full editing suite. Raw video stays on the iPhone, and recording can continue offline after sign-in. The product is designed around a simple promise: keep your place, keep your voice.

## Availability

Seyla is coming to the App Store for iPhone. Recording requires a membership billed through Apple, with no free trial. This website will link directly to the App Store listing when it is available.
